Social Events and Fund Raising March 2026

2026 Charity
As only two charities were put forward this year and many people
had difficulty choosing between them, Jim suggested at Church
Meeting we should support both. It was also suggested we raise
the ‘cap’ on Fund Raising to £1500.

Both of these recommendations were agreed so Greengage
Community Garden and Purbeck Furniture Bank (formerly Besom)
are the charities we will be supporting this year.

This month, on Saturday 28 March, we have a Beetle & Bingo
Evening, not only accompanied by hot dogs and ice cream, but
much fun and laughter!

Let Ruth know if you want a ticket (01929 422785) or any team
member.

Ruth also has tickets for our Quiz on 28 April when the theme is
the ‘80’s & 90s’.

Coffee @112 is struggling to find regular help on Friday
Mornings. Ideally we need two people in the kitchen and
sometimes two Front of House each week.

If you don’t feel able to help in this way, we would love to see your
support as a Church Friend to chat and make welcome those who
come in for coffee; it need only be for an hour or so.

Church Bloomers:

At the evening service tonight, the sermon topic will be “What is
Hell? Come early and listen to our choir practice.

Eight new choir robes are currently needed due to the addition of
several new members and to the deterioration of some older ones.
