Dear Friends,
At Wareham we recently celebrated Harvest Festival and, seeing
all the colourful produce decorating the church, I could not help
giving thanks to our wonderful creator God who had given us all
these gifts.
During a cafe service, we joined in activities connected with
creation and creativity. One of our congregation wrote this poem:
The Gifts of Creation
The hectic bustle of family life
And the sound of silence after a long, busy day.
The crash of thunder on the silent, heavy air
And the smile of sunshine as it heralds the day.
The soft, silent flurry of snow in the Winter
And the tentative, green shoots of the Spring.
The joy of loving and living and giving
And the blessing of sharing our thoughts in prayer.
I think you will agree that it is a fitting reminder of some of God's
gifts with which He has blessed us.
