In Memoriam ~ Ann Gould
How grateful we are that our Church family is such a support, one
to another, as we come to terms with the very sad loss of our dear
friend Ann Gould.
We will all miss Ann so much. She was a kind
and generous friend to everyone, always
willing to serve in any way she could, from
helping with coffee, to being part of the
Worship Preparation Group and working so
hard for the Blythswood boxes. But for Ann
the music was always special, she so
enjoyed playing the piano for us when Chris
was unavailable and loved to sing the hymns
which she knew so well; they were part of her
DNA. The Monday Singers were blessed to
have Ann play for them which she did with
enthusiasm tolerating the wrong notes which
were sung and the high notes not reached.
It was fitting that the service on September 22 was a celebration of
hymns; it was in many ways a tribute to Ann who would always
hope that we would sing out and think of her.
Let’s take a quiet moment in our busy lives to think of our Ann and
remember her for what she was to us, and to pray for Blessings on
her and on Derek.
