titles are added to ‘YHWH’ to describe different aspects of God's
character, attributes, and relationship with humanity.
Yahweh-Rapha: "I Am the One Who Heals" or "The Lord My
Healer." God is our Doctor.
Yahweh-Shalom: “I Am your Peace” or "The Lord Is Peace." This
title reflects God's ability to bring peace and harmony to individuals
and communities.
Yahweh-Tsidkenu: "The Lord Our Righteousness." This title high-
lights God's role as the source of righteousness and justice.
Yahweh-Jireh: "The Lord Will Provide." This title acknowledges
God's provision and care for His people.
Yahweh-Sabaoth: "The Lord of Hosts" or "The Lord of Armies."
This title underscores God's authority and power over all creation
and heavenly hosts.
These Yahweh titles provide a glimpse into the multifaceted nature
of God and His interactions with humanity as revealed in the
Bible. Personally, I think they are the ideal foundation for faith that
God will manifest the Greatness of His Name in any area you need
to know God more profoundly and experientially.
No single name would be enough to explain the Greatness of God
(Whose Name we are meant to ‘magnify’ i.e., make bigger.) God’s
fulness reminds me of the tale of the blind men describing the
elephant they were touching. The Elephant was far greater than
any single description. One held the tail and described it as a
rope. Another embraced a leg and said it was a pillar - like the
trunk of a tree. The one who touched the Elephant’s trunk
explained it was like a snake. The man with his hand on the tusk
revealed the Elephant to be hard and sharp like a spear. And the
one who felt Jumbo’s ear delighted in its giant fan-like nature.
The Great I Am is the One who says, “I Am your Healer, your
Protector, your Provider, your Peace, your Father, your
Shepherd, your Justifier, your Wisdom, your Betrothed,
your Saviour, your Everything.”
So, Who you gonna call? Lex
