18 The greenery and driving through the huge farms was very relaxing and was evident that this was a big agricultural belt.
We started the day with the inauguration of a water project which would benefit the farmers of the surrounding areas. The
evening meeting was well attended and Covid Warriors Awards were presented to the doctors and paramedical staff of the
PHCs recognizing their selfless service. Farm equipment was distributed to deserving farmers and 2 members were inducted
with 5 more in line. They also committed of 5000 $ towards a GG for a mobile soil testing lab , which would benefit this
agriculture based society. President Rtn. Elango along with Secretary Rtn.Sankar are doing an excellent job. The visit to Sanjevi
Malai Mariyamman Temple on top of a hill was a memorable experience. AG Rtn. Rajasekar and GGR Rtn. Manoharan are
always there for the Club.

COIMBATORE INDUSTRIAL CITY

24 This is a young Club but have lots of potential in their members. They are ably lead by President Rtn. Santhosh and Secretary
Rtn. Maheshwaran. We visited the Saibaba Medical Centre @ Thetipalayam village where they handed over medicines worth
40,000/- which they have committed to give every month. Inaugurated a book bank @ Sadguru School and a board with
the Rotary 4 Way Test was put up in the school at a prominent place. Plan to start an Interact club was also discussed. AG Rtn.
Balakrishnan and GGR Rtn. Somasehkar are a big guiding force for this young Club.
