Rob Thomson comes as close to a native of Jupiter
as one can, having called the hamlet home since
he was barely a fortnight old. He was constantly by
his mother’s side as she traveled from one listing
appointment to another on Jupiter Island. He and
Jupiter grew alongside each other until eventually his
adopted hometown matured into a thriving luxury
community; one around which Rob has built his
successful brokerage, Waterfront Properties and Club
Communities.
The shared history has provided man and town a
mutual understanding. Though there is one more
common thread that unifies the two: Braman
Motorcars. It’s here that Rob has found more kindred
spirits; a shared customer-oriented philosophy not of
having transactions, but providing experiences. The
sentiment is one he impresses upon each of his agents.
Rob’s love for fine German machinery was sparked
three decades ago in the form of a BMW 528e sedan.
Since then, he has purchased all manner of luxury
vehicles through Braman, culminating in his most
recent shining black Bavarian—the new X7. This
latest addition has proven to be his favorite; the ideal
combination of style, performance, and practicality
for his daily needs. It might well be the only vehicle
he’d own—if not for a nearly-forgotten promise his
daughter helped him fulfill. As his 50th birthday
neared, she reminded him of a vow he’d long ago made
to own a rather distinctive marque by the time the
half-century mark arrived.
Rob promptly rolled into Rolls-Royce Palm Beach,
and out in a glistening black Ghost. His first of three;
briefly moving onto a Dawn before finding himself
back in his current Ghost.
While nothing makes a VIP client feel like royalty than
being whisked to a private showing behind the iconic
Spirit of Ecstasy, Rob has found holding the Ghost up
as an essential life lesson for his children about setting
and pursuing goals to be far more valuable. That’s not
to say he doesn’t enjoy the Rolls immensely; much like
the Italian food adage—there is Rolls-Royce…and then Club Braman Member Rob Thomson
HOMEGROWN LUXURY
there’s everything else.
Though the wild trees and burgeoning town of his youth are long gone, Rob asserts that the provincial atmosphere remains. His
favorite restaurants all still address him by first name, and there is no shortage of charm to be found among the quiet canals
meandering toward the Atlantic Ocean. This dichotomy of big city amenities and small town culture are why Rob chooses this

is elsewhere—not geographically, but chronologically. A boy once rollicked his dirt bike across this very ground, perilously weaving
between trees and bushes untouched by human development. That homegrown heathen eventually grew into a man who now As he might put it, there’s Jupiter…and then there’s everywhere else.
manages more than 70 luxury real estate agents across Broward, Palm Beach, and Martin Counties. An extra glint in his eye, he turns
