Stakeholder Management
As part of our stakeholder engagement strategy, Waltersmith
consistently engaged with regulatory agencies and complied
with statutory requirements on environmental protection, these
regulatory agencies charged with supervisory oversights within
the energy industry include:
(i) Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR).
(ii) Nigerian Nuclear Radiation Authority (NNRA).
(iii) Federal Ministry of Environment (FMEnv).
(iv) National Oil Spill Detection and Response Agency.
(NOSDRA).
In 2020, we completed the following which were facilitated by
our regulators:
(a) Development and approval of flowstation and
operational safety case.
(b) Data gathering and laboratory witnessing of
Environmental Impact Assessment for the Appraisal,
Exploratory and Development wells drilling program
at Ibigwe field.
(c) Dry season data gathering exercise for Environmental
Evaluation Studies of Ibigwe field.
(d) Quarterly facility inspection and annual audit.
Our management continues to ensure zero tolerance for unsafe
activities and ensures strict HSSE compliance with existing
policies.
