The need to practice proper Social Distancing
The beneficiaries of the awareness program were advised to
maintain physical distancing of at least two meters from other
people when in public places as advised by the Nigerian
Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) as this is one of the surest
methods of avoiding contacting the virus.
Distribution of Food Items
More food items where distributed to the beneficiaries of the
COVID-19 intervention program in this community. The most
vulnerable comprising of women, men and youths whose

Safe use of Protective Gears
The proper use of protective gears such as face masks, hand
sanitizers and hand gloves when in the public including in
public vehicles was also emphasized. Nose masks and
pocket-sized alcohol-based hand sanitizers were distributed
to beneficiaries of the program.
There was also a question and answer session as well as
concerns raised by the women in which answers were given. In
addtion, relevant numbers of government agencies like NCDC
in the state were also provided to the women for additional
clarifications.
