How do you write your songs?
Well, it depends. Sometimes songs go around in my head for some time and then I just sit and write
them down. Sometimes I get one verse with the music and search for an inspiration from one word
to another, from one thought to another… Basically I get my inspiration from the world I see, from
the books I read, from the sentences I hear somewhere… Actually I am open to and aware of each
moment. It comes with so many wonderful surprises.

Thank you, you are very kind.
How is the blues scene in Poland?
Buddy Guy Actually the Polish blues scene is doing pretty
good. We have loads of good musicians in
Poland.
What plans do you have for the future?
That’s a very good question at this point that we
all stand at. If you had asked me about my future
in February I would have said: I have plans for
composing, playing lots of concerts and meeting
my wonderful audience pretty often. But now...
Well, I slowed down, maybe not with my plans
but definitely with my life now. I have time to
think about new ideas for the music and for my
life in general. I write new things, thinking
about new CDs. I have several music projects
apart from my band. There is my regular
programme, gospel tunes, the ‘American Folk
Blues’ project with my friend, and ‘Magda
Piskorczyk and The Modern Boogie Woogie Duo’ with my friends from Germany so there is a lot of to
think about. But basically the future for me is here and now.
Thanks for taking the time to answer these questions, Magda. Anything else you want to say?
May we all stay healthy, gentle and kind to one another and to ourselves too. Thank you for the
opportunity. Peace and love to all of us.
