of a left field song, but to me every time I hear it, I feel emotional. It's got
this beautiful violin in it.
BiTS: Yes, absolutely fabulous. Do I gather from what you just said that you've
actually started gigging this thing already?
TBS: Well, as you know, the
Jo Chambers release is on February 1st.
We're playing the Blackpool
Festival, Solid Entertainments,
or whatever they call it. So
we're releasing on the 1st of
February, and we're going to
Italy and Belgium and to
London and around. I've put a
few songs out just because I
wanted to play them out,
really, but not all of them. One
or two songs as a tester, and
they've gone down really well.
BiTS: Trevor, tell me
something about the guitars
that you use. Both, I think are
National Steel. Is that right?
TBS: Yeah, I use three guitars. One is a Style N, National, which is the same
as the style O that the old blues guys play. It's the same as that but without
the etching on. And then I also played a National Tricone which has got the
three small cones in it. That's on several of the tracks, and I also use a wooden
resonator, it says National on it, but I brought it and it’s a fake, I think, but
it sounds great. It’s on couple of the tracks, especially on the last track… on
track ten. I paid a couple of hundred quid for it. It's a cheapest guitar I own
and one of the best sounding, ironically.
BiTS: On one or two tracks you play with the slide. What sort of slide do you
use?
