'Preacher' is a funky blues shuffle and we check out with 'Safe Ground' a pretty
melodic acoustic ballad with strings. Toby's vocals are now on a par with his guitar

playing and the production here is top notch with many of the tracks featuring a
wall of sound and it is a remarkable piece of work for anybody, let alone a 19-year
old. If the album isn't quite as bluesy as I would have liked, I have to admit that it

is more commercial and likely to attract non blues fans, it reminded me of work by
     American acts like John Mayer.

Nothing in Rambling—Live at Bush Hall—APM Records ASIN : B0DFDZDTBS

Nothing in Rambling are Sister Suzie (vocals) and
Andy Twyman (guitars, vocals), I saw them at this

year's Red Rooster Festival and was impressed by
their authentic sounds but also their ability to breathe
new life into these old blues songs and to connect with
the audience. The album starts with three Memphis

Minnie songs – 'Nothing in Rambling', 'Girlish Days'
and 'Me and My Chauffeur' and it also ends with

another Minnie song 'Kissing in the Dark' – all feature
Suzie's powerful voice perfectly complimented by
Andy's understated guitar playing. The sound is very
good and the unaccompanied 'Soul of a Man' is very atmospheric, complete with

the appreciative applause at the end, and we also get the traditional gospel song
'12 Gates to the City' with Andy also adding his vocals and 'Stranger Blues' with
     Andy playing lovely slide guitar.

in New Orleans. The album was recorded in two
afternoon sessions, one year apart with Crescent City
musicians including Danny Abrams (baritone sax),

and Brett Gallow or Nicholas Solnick (drums). We kick off with the Memphis Minnie
song 'Black Rat Swing' with Jasmine naturally taking the vocals then on both the
following 'Ain't Going Down' by Leadbelly and 'Let's Get Drunk' both Jasmine and
