consent, or like it's more manufactured than it is something good. There's so much
music getting put out every day; there are big corporations like iHeartRadio, which
they get together like once a month or whatever and decide what the next hit is and
they have every single radio station in the nation play it like 20 times a day or
something like that, you know what I mean?
BiTS: I understand exactly what you mean.
SS: Yeah, and Spotify and algorithms and so as good as it is and as much as we love
it and as human as it is, I'm not really expecting it to like make it big and the steps
to do that – I’ve started doing like Instagram videos and stuff, but as far as trying
to go viral, like I don't think that's ever going to be our focus because it's about the
music. It's about being ourselves and yeah, that might happen. I'm not like closed
to it, but as far as expecting it, or moving towards it, I feel like it's going to be up to
the people that listen, wanting to get more of this.
BiTS: You have the aura of the Crescent City behind you and also gravity behind
you, or maybe underneath you, I suppose, and I sincerely hope that it all moves in
the direction that you want it to.
SS: Thanks so much, Ian. I really appreciate you. I go to Europe. I started going to
Europe kind of often, since about four and a half years ago. I went to live in Berlin
for like six months, four years ago.
BiTS: That's wonderful stuff thank you very much for talking to me Smitti, and the
very best of luck in your future. I hope the gravity doesn't overweigh you.
SS: [Chuckles] Thank you. It's been pretty good stuff for us.
BiTS: Look after yourself. As you jazz folks say, keep on keeping on.
SS: Thank you. Thank you. You're right. It is a saying and it's good. Have a beautiful
day. Thank you for calling.
BiTS: Bye then. Bye.
