COVID, and I started it back up. I'm still doing the guest, but not really a jam, you
know, just doing the guest. They do a spot, and I finish the night up.

BiTS: I guess that folded up during COVID.

AB: Yeah, just about everything did. I managed to keep a couple of gigs going
outside, so it didn't completely kill me, but it's way better now. It's pretty much
                                                                      back to normal.

BiTS: [Chuckles] I'm glad to hear
                                                                      that. I gather you've got a youngish

                                                                      family. Three kids, is it?

AB: I do. I have three kids. I have
an adult daughter from a previous

marriage, but I have two boys that
are now 12 and nine, that we're

                                                                      raising. Having fun with that.

BiTS: Okay, and what about gigs
outside Dallas and the Fort Worth

area, do you do any of those?

AB: Not in a while, no. I just pretty
much stay in town if I have some

                                                                      opportunities, but I don't really
                                                                      seek them out anyways, because
you know my wife doesn't want me on the road.

BiTS: Tell me about this new album, “If Mama Ain’t Happy, Nobody’s Happy”. This
is what number 11, is it?

AB: Ooh, I think it's more than that. I would say – you know what I'm going to pull

up Bandcamp real quick and see if I can look at it real quick. It’s just the easiest way
for me to look at all my releases at once. It looks like there are, yeah, you're right,
    11. Okay [chuckles].

BiTS: Okay, number 11, and you’ve got a band with you this time, which I think
you've had before. Some of the albums that you did in the meantime, that I haven't
really had a listen to, but I gather you got a band with you this time. In fact, I know

you've got a band because I've listened to some of it.

AB: Yes, it's a trio. It's basically the guys I use around town whenever the situation
calls for it. It's a guy named Stompin’ Bill Johnston, plays harmonica, he's amazing.

He's been around a long time. He led a band in Las Vegas for years. He's from
California, I think, originally, but he's been in Texas for a long time. He's gone now.
He's out in Arizona. I think he might be back. I had him fly in from Arizona to do this
