THE BiTS INTERVIEw: Mike Dangeroux

Mike Dangeroux was born in Chicago, Illinois. He graduated

from the Berklee College of Music. He has been hailed as one

of the top guitarists in the world. He performs a variety of

musical genres, from classics to contemporary hits.

Mike fronts the The Mike Dangeroux Orchestra and The
Tropics Reggae Band, to say nothing of the Chicago Wedding

Band and the excellent Mike Dangeroux Blues Band

Ian McKenzie spoke to him at his home in Chicago.

MD: Good morning, this is Mike.

BiTS: Mike. Hello. It's Ian
McKenzie.

MD: Good morning, Ian. How

are you doing?

BiTS: I'm doing very well indeed. It's
late afternoon here, of course.

MD: Okay, good afternoon to you.

BiTS: [Laughs] What I want to do is talk
to you a little bit about your background

and then to talk to you about the record as
well.

MD: Okay, sounds cool.

BiTS: Let's start with the background. Tell
me something about your upbringing.
Was there a lot of music in your house?

MD: Yes, there was a lot of music in my
house. My dad is from Corinth,
Mississippi and my mom was from

Birmingham, Alabama, and she liked the
low down, dirty blues. My dad liked
