parts in different keys because I remember my uncle from the beginning saying you
could set your watch by his left hand. He saw him in person, and I just was like, well,

I want to do that too. I think I can do that. So I just really worked at it, so, that's good.
Cool. Yeah, I really like the 'Messin' With The Kid' that's on there. I like the Magic Sam,
‘You Belong To Me’, and I like the AC/DC ‘Riff Raff’ a lot.

BiTS: 'Messin' With The Kid' is actually a fabulous track. I really like that one because
I've really only heard it played by people with guitars.

JI: Yeah. That's the world I live in is I do a lot of things because the Claudettes is kind

of a punky rock band with a lot of blues in us, and usually when you think of that, you
think of White Stripes and Black Keys and things that are led by guitar and people
are kind of flummoxed sometimes that we're, like, kind of a punky blues rock and roll

band. But with a piano. It's almost like if Ray Charles had a punky band.

BiTS: That's right. Yes, absolutely. Strangely enough, I did think of Ray Charles when
I was actually listening to yourself.

JI: Oh, good. I grew up loving Ray Charles too, and I still listen a lot. He was just
miraculous.

BiTS: Johnny, thanks so much for talking to me, let’s call an end to it, okay?
