Have you any stories about gigs around Christmas?

One of my special stories around Christmas gigs concerns several concerts that I do during the
Christmas holidays in Berlin. We have been doing these series in the same clubs for almost 20
years and several people that came to the very first gigs are still coming today. Special too is that
we had people from Denmark fly in for the gigs and fly out after the last gig of the series.

How have you been coping with 2020?

Coping with 2020 has been very hard on all
artists, especially hit hard have been the
touring artists like myself. Touring has been
my livelihood for many years now and that

all came to an abrupt standstill in March of
2020. Many of the venues on the touring
circuit throughout Europe have been forced
to close their doors due to the pandemic.
Which in turn left all of the professional
touring artists unemployed.

What will you be doing Christmas day and on
New Year’s Day?

What I have been doing on Christmas day, December 25th, is a concert in a local club in Berlin,

The Badenscher Hof. December 25th is my birthday and I do an annual concert as a benefit for a
local children's home. A good birthday for me and a chance to do some very beneficial work for
someone in need.

Normally on New Year's Eve I don't work. Traditionally I stand on the front balcony with my wife
and watch the fireworks. My wife is the Blues Pianist Nina T. Davis. She holds the chair in the EB
Davis Superband.
