Stage 1 - Concrete Experience: The learner cannot learn merely by reading or
observing. He needs to actively participate in the experience by feeling it with all the

five senses. The idea is to immerse in the experience and learn.

Stage 2 - Reflective Observation: This is the second stage where the learner reflects

at the situation before forming any opinion. The learner must reflect upon the present
by connecting it to his past experiences. Reflective observation focuses on observing

                            and perceiving.
                    CHAPTER 6 : PEDAGOGY

Stage 3 - Abstract Conceptualization: The learner creates theories to explain his

experiences. In this stage, the learner gathers and analyses the information and draws
conclusions. Sometimes, it may challenge the pre-existing concept. This focuses on

                            learning by thinking.
