TeChnology Planning
District planning is essential to ensure digital learning opportunities for all students and educators. The District Technol-
ogy Plan is a document that guides the district in appropriating technology to teach students effectively, develop staff
proficiencies, and maximize equipment usage. Although it is no longer required for districts to have a technology plan
for E-rate purposes, technology plans are still important to ensure eligibility for potential future funding opportunities.
Technology is dynamic and constantly changing, requiring ongoing monitoring and updating to maximize its effective-
ness. It provides the tools and devices that may be used to solve real-world problems and is a driving force that can
transform the learning experience.
