PPO Diaries
❖ What did you do right?
I maintained daily summary of the work done in ppt or excel which helped me while writing the project
report.
I interacted frequently with team members and used to take suggestions from them. I always kept my
mentor up to date about project updates and issues faced.
I used to have conversation with other intern about their project which helped me to find the way for
collecting data for which I was looking for.
What did you do wrong?
I could not say it ‘wrong’, but I invested to much time on this project because of unavailability of data. I
could have finished this project earlier and would have taken up another project.
I focused more on secondary research. I could have taken some interviews of internal stakeholders to
collect the primary research data which could have validated my findings in project.
❖ Suggestions to the next batch of interns
• Be clear on the project objective and deliverable from the start itself and have clear discussion with
you mentor if you have any doubt about it.
• Ensure that there is proper communication with your guide or mentor regarding project updates and
issues.
• Take opinions and suggestions from team members and stakeholders
• Have passion and learning agility in the organization you work for. Every intern work for completing
the project, try to go extra mile to delight stakeholders.
• Take the access for the different site available with NITIE library like Gartner report it will save your
time.
• Know more about the company you are working with; it will help you to find out whether you are fit to
the company culture or not.
❖ Pre-internship preparation
It depends on domain assign to you. However, have some knowledge about what exactly Wipro does,
different verticals of Wipro. As I was in Oracle service line, my mentor asked me to go through different
Oracle cloud products. Apart from this, good PowerPoint presentations skill will have added advantage.
