❖ What I did Right and What I did wrong:

Things went right are

Setting priorities right. I communicated to my guide what can be delivered by me in these 2 months span of
time. I followed this principle of, it is always good to under promise and over deliver rather than over promise
and under deliver.

Documentation of the entire project, so that it is easy for others to follow up once I leave the company.

Having skillset related to interpreting data and coding came handy.
Things went wrong:

I should have networked more and learnt about how other units of business are working instead of focusing
on my own business unit.

In my case, project is shared few days before starting an internship , I should have researched about the
industry trends.

❖ Things I kept in mind during the internship:

Always be curious to learn. I remember repeating myself that I am here to learn as much I can and gain skillset
of trading and long term investing. I want to decide whether I like to associate myself with finance industry or
not. The reason being I know finance is the industry I expected to work 60-80 hours on average I have to
decide whether to choose this career path or not.

I always tried to assess whether the projects I am working on has any impact in the organization or not. Mid
reviews and having discussion with guide helped me to some extent.

❖ Pre-Internship Suggestions for juniors:

Sometimes in internship you have to do some boring/trivial work given by manager which was not part of the
assigned project. My suggestion is don’t neglect that and give it your 100% to complete it.

Be proficient in excel and basic coding skills. You can learn them during internship also, but it saves time if you
learn beforehand. Don’t be adamant on the type of work , one wants to do, be open to opportunities.
