PPO Diaries
❖ A brief overview of the project
I interned with Flipkart with their Design and Strategy team at
Bangalore. At the end of the 2 months, I received a Pre-
Placement Offer (PPO). I had great internship experience. The
internship started with an induction comprising of fun activities,
sessions by the leadership and parties. In fact, for the first
week, every other intern at another company was jealous of
interns@Flipkart.
During my internship, I was also able to experience a mini BBD
(Big Billion Days) event at Flipkart. All the planning that goes
into it like demand planning, vendor negotiations, warehouse
inventory management, and revenue planning. All in all mini

BBD experience was one full of fun and frolic, deadlines and
dazzles, slogging through nights, excel-ing through days, going
FLIPKART for warehouse visits, partying for every sales target completion,

The second project was to run a Pilot with our major FMCG vendors for a new system my team had developed to
increase customer satisfaction through improvement in in-stock, RU and order delivery time and vendor
satisfaction through better collaboration, planning, slotting and replenishment cycles.
❖ How is a normal day at the Internship?
As one would expect Flipkart has a very startup-like culture, you can come at any time, leave at any time, work
from home if you like, only casuals no formals clothing style and most importantly one can spend time playing
pool, table tennis, virtual games like golf, car racin g, bike racing, shooting, etc, cricket, turf football and yeah
human foosball.
Being said that Flipkart is very strict about deadlines, so most of the individuals will be assigned a task with
deadline and only thing one's manger expect is that task to be finished within that deadline, you can enjoy your
first few days and slog last days to do it or evenly space out your work or complete it take a day off and move on
