Excessive absenteeism or any absence without notice
Unauthorized disclosure of business propriety and/or confidential information
Violation of personnel policies; and
Unsatisfactory performance or conduct
Contractors are expected to cooperate fully and honestly in any investigation conducted by CCS of alleged
unlawful, unethical, unsafe, or inappropriate behavior. Failure to cooperate may be cause for disciplinary action
up to and including termination. Any contractor who knowingly and in bad faith provides false, incomplete, or
misleading information as part of a complaint or investigation (whether such contractor is the complainant, the
accused or a witness) will be subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.
If the contractor is an officer, manager or supervisor and someone complains to them about another contractor’s
suspected unethical, illegal, and/or unprofessional behavior, contractor must report this immediately to the
Human Resources Department.
Contractors may not keep the complaint confidential nor investigate on their own.
8.2 Conflict of Interest
Contractors must avoid any relationship or activity that might impair, or even appear to impair, their ability to
make objective and fair decisions when performing their jobs. At times, a contractor may be faced with
situations in which business actions taken on behalf of CCS may conflict with the contractor’s own personal
interests. Company property, information or business opportunities may not be used for personal gain.
Conflicts of interest could arise in the following circumstances:
Being employed by, or acting as a consultant to, a competitor or potential competitor, supplier or
contactor, regardless of the nature of the employment, while employed with CCS, or attempting to be
employed full-time for another employer while working full-time for CCS.
Hiring or supervising family members or closely related persons.
Owning or having substantial interest in a competitor, supplies or contractor.
Accepting gifts, discounts, favors, or services from a customer/potential customer, competitor or
supplier, unless equally available to all company contractors.
Contractors with a conflict-of-interest question should seek advice from management. Before engaging in any
activity, transaction or relationship that might give rise to a conflict of interest, contractors must seek review
from their supervisor or the Human Resources Department.
