We gathered to give thanks to the
Spirits of our Ancestors. And to
Mother Nature for giving us our
beautiful valley that we shared and
for the bounteous gifts the she
bestowed upon us.
JERUSALEM ARTICHOKES, CASSAVAS, CORN ON THE COBs and LIMA
BEANS dance around a fire.
NARRATOR (CONT'D)
Together as one we would dance to
celebrate the eternal cycle of
life.
DAIKON RADISHES pound out a throbbing rhythmical beat on
drums.
NARRATOR (CONT'D)
...and ask for our valley to be to
blessed with a bountiful harvest.
KALE, CELERY and CHARD dancers mimic the swaying movements of grass blowing in the wind.
The soft warm morning light falls on the faces of ONIONS,
APPLES AND NECTARINES. GORGEOUS
NARRATOR (CONT'D)
Until one year...
Suddenly, there’s a LOUD CRASH!!!!
Everyone stops dancing and stares in the direction of the
sound.
Another LOUD CRASH. The ground shakes!
EXT. FOREST - DAY
The branches of a bush slowly part.
To reveal the faces of a BABY CORN, a CHERRY TOMATO and a
BABY CARROT peering through the leaves.
They watch as another huge tree falls. down.
As it crashes to the ground it sends a huge cloud of dust
into the air.
