EXT. FOREST - DAY
As the dust settles several strange figures begin to appear through the haze.
They’re unlike anything ever seen in these parts before.
VINTAGE CANDY!!!
A rock hard TOFFEE, a rugged PEANUT CRUNCH, a miserable old HUMBUG, a tough BOILED SWEET and a WAGON WHEEL.
Outsiders from another world.
The BABY VEGETABLES, wide eyed with fascination and wonder,
see some YOUNG CANDY KIDS.
A JELLY BABY, a SPANGLE, a PARMA VIOLET, a SHERBERT LEMON and
a BARLEY SUGAR.
Both sets of KIDS approach each other, curious, and eager to
make friends.
KABOOOMMM!!!
BUCK SHOT whistles over their heads of the BABY VEGETABLES.
They turn to see it was fired by a gnarly old chunk of PEANUT BRITTLE, who is reloading his rifle. GORGEOUS
The BABY VEGETABLES turn and run for their lives!
EXT. FOREST - DAY
They run home as fast as their little legs will carry them.
EXT. VILLAGE - DAY
The BABY VEGETABLES fall into the arms of their waiting
PARENTS.
They all talk at the same time, trying to explain what
they’ve just seen, describing what happened with their hands
and pointing to the woods.
BABY VEG
(in unison)
Big! Bang!
The ELDER VEGETABLES look concerned.
