Use of Simulation in Reaching Nursing Schools Students

               Emergency Medical Procedures

Simulations are a useful and safe tool and method in teaching nursing school students
emergency medical procedures for a safe and realistic environment in which students can
practice their skills without the risk of harming patients or themselves. This is especially
important for practicing complex or dangerous procedures, such as cpr or intubation.
There are different types of simulations that can be used for this purpose such as high-fidelity
models, models that are designed to mimic the appearance of the human body, which can give
students a more realistic experience. With such models, it is also possible to simulate various
vital functions, such as breathing, heart rate and blood pressure. A space equipped with
equipment that imitates a hospital environment, i.e. simulation centers additionally provide a
realistic representation. In such an equipped space, students can work on real-life scenarios
under the supervision of experienced teachers. Computer simulations can be used to model
different medical situations, which can give students the opportunity to practice their skills in
               various environments.
Simulations have a number of advantages over traditional teaching methods, such as lectures
and demonstrations such as increased safety as students can practice their skills without risking
injury to patients or themselves. One of the advantages is the realistic environment because
simulations can provide students with a more realistic experience than traditional teaching
methods. In doing so, students can receive feedback from teachers and their peers immediately
in real time. Such practice of interventions in a safe and supportive environment can help
students build confidence in their skills. It is also very important to point out that simulations
can help students develop decision-making skills under pressure and can be used to practice
skills important for teamwork, which is important for emergency care.
In conclusion, simulations are a valuable tool in teaching nursing school students emergency
medical procedures. They offer students a safe and realistic environment in which to practice
their skills, receive feedback and build confidence.
