Rice supply chain management in large-scale rice refineries in
bireuen regency

Abstract. S Effective supply chain management is needed to continuously increase activity in
customer service including fulfillment of demand, punctuality in delivery and rate of return of
goods by consumers for certain reasons (return). The purpose of this study was to determine the
flow of rice supply chains in large-scale rice refineries in Bireuen Regency. The method used
to identify supply chain flow is descriptive qualitative method using the Food Supply Chain
Networking (FSCN) framework. The results showed that the supply chain flow of rice in the
three large-scale rice refineries in Bireuen Regency as a whole was not optimal, financial flow
was constrained by returns and information flow was constrained by the lack of information on
grain stocks in the non-harvest season.
