Abstract. East Aceh Regency constitutes as one of the central cocoa production in Aceh
Province. The main problem faced in cultivation cocoa plants are the height attack of Plants
Gadfly Organism especially Cocoa Pod Borer (CPB) led to low cocoa production. The purpose
of this research is to investigate the percentage and the intensity of CPB pest attack at
community cocoa plantations. The study is conducted at East Aceh Regency of Aceh Province.
Research was initiated from January until April of the year 2020. This research utilizes a survey
method, Where the location was determined using purposive sampling method. Each plantation
was classified into untreated plantation, sober treated plantation, intensive treated plantation and
plantation implemeting Intergrated Pest Management (IPM) practice. The occurance of CPB
attack was observed. The results showed that the CPB incursion was different depeding on the
classification level of plantation. The finding highlighted the important of IPM practice to
reduced the CPB incursion.
