Abstract: This article redescribes Hospitalitermes plavoantennaris of open-air processional
column termites from various habitats on the Simuelue island. In many publications, this open-
air processional column termite is one of very incomplete descriptions and their biology as well.
Condition of head capsule and its coloration (soldier caste), mandibles and antennae (soldier
caste) are importance characters for identification. This species showed a large variation of
nesting sites and dimorphism of worker caste. Several biological aspects of this species also
                              discussed in this paper.
