Students have been learning the topic through PowerPoint, interactive web sites as well as
classroom teaching. Focus was more on aligning learning to expectations of Cambridge with
exam type questions and discussions on the same. PIE approximation day activities were also
incorporated
Science
Chemistry: LO: Atoms, elements and compounds.
The learners were able to define atoms, elements and compounds. They were able to
distinguish between Ionic bonding and covalent bonding by drawing structures of ionic
compounds and covalent compounds. They were able to describe the physical properties and
chemical properties of ionic and covalent compounds. PPT, notes and worksheets were
prepared based on the Cambridge learning objectives and were discussed in the class.
Hindi
LO: Learn about historical places
Learners researched about a famous place and the importance of the place. They presented it
in class. by this they came to know about the different places and importance of it.
French
LO: Making sentences using the verbs.
Learners from Grade 9 make sentences using two irregular verbs in French Être and Avoir.

LO: Vectors and transformations
Using Geogebra app, powerpoint presentations and interactive websites, the concept of vector
as a translation was taken up, followed by applying properties of vectors in vector geometry.
Learners also showcased their learning by doing group presentations on vector
transformations. Pi day approximation activities PIKU, and PIE sudoku were taken up. Pi day
puzzles were also taken up.
