French Day Celebrations

French National day was celebrated on 14th July 2021 in DPS CAIE, Nacharam. The program
was hosted by Grade X students. The guest for the event was M. Samuel Berthet, director of
Alliance Française d’ Hyderabad. It started with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony and
the prayer song in French. The program was divided into three main sections: Le Tour Virtuel,
La France et l’ Inde and La Culture Française. Learners from all grades took part in the
program with great enthusiasm. Our Vice Principal ma’am, Ms. Shanti Antony, introduced
the eminent guest to the gathering. The guest spoke about the importance of the day and
encouraged the participants with his lively feedback. The students from grade 3 and 4 took
part in cultural events like Music and Dance and the cambridge learners from grade 8 spoke
about the importance of French as a Foreign Language in Cambridge curriculum. Rithwika,
from Grade 7 showed the audience a French recipe named l’ éclair. We even had a Fashion
parade performed by grade 5 students. The program also included skits, virtual tours to France,
animation on Festival de Cannes. All the tiny tots from lower classes took part by showcasing
their French speaking skills. The event concluded with a small quiz activity on the country of
France.
