                                            STEAM at Brahminy College



               Brahminy College was established in 2020 by Tshepo Oliphant, Makhosazana Nhachungue
               and Tholakele Oliphant as one of the STEAM high schools. The school is intended to have a

               long  tradition  of  reflecting  changes  in  South  African  society  and  will  always  adapted  and

               responded  to  the  needs  of  its  community.  Curriculum  innovation  and  new  ideas  about  the
               purpose of schooling are frequently discussed and embraced.


               Brahminy  College  prides  itself  on  providing  high  quality  learning  experiences  to  assist  all
               learners in achieving their full potential.


               Through  STEAM  education  Brahminy  College  aims  to  link  the  five  cohesive  disciplines  of

               Science,  Technology,  Engineering,  Arts  and  Mathematics  by  implementing  a  common
               pedagogical approach, which promotes twenty-first century skills. These skills include robotics

               and coding.

               STEAM  education  is  an  interdisciplinary  approach  to  learning  where  rigorous  academic

               concepts are coupled with real-world lessons.  Learners apply STEAM subjects in contexts that

               make connections between school, community, work and the global enterprise. This enables
               the development of STEAM literacy and with it the ability to compete in the new economy.


               Brahminy College will run an annual STEAM events and delivers a range of extra-curricular
               opportunities to learners at all year levels.
