Fun-Lovin’ Four-Pot: 2025 Kawasaki Z900 Retro
Packs a Punch with Enhanced Performance and Tech
K awasaki is rolling out its 2025 models, introducing an updated four-cylinder Z900 naked range that promises
increased low-end torque, advanced electronics, and a new up/down quickshifter.
Unveiled on the evening of October 30, the 2025 Z900 lineup includes the standard and SE models, both powered by
a Euro5+ compliant 948cc four-cylinder engine. While the engine capacity remains unchanged, it features new
electronic throttle valves, revised camshaft profiles, and updated ECU settings.
The 123.3bhp engine now boasts up to a 16% improvement in fuel economy and reduced carbon emissions
compared to the previous model. Low-end torque has also been enhanced, and the latest quickshifter can be used at
just 1500 RPM.
Additional electronics include standard cruise control, traction control, and multiple rider modes, along with
Kawasaki’s first turn-by-turn navigation system, displayed on a five-inch color TFT dash when connected to the
Rideology mobile app.
Beyond the tech upgrades, the bikes come equipped with four-piston brake calipers and Dunlop Sportmax Q5A
tires—also featured on the upcoming Yamaha MT-07. Riders can choose between two seat heights: a standard
830mm and a lower 810mm for added comfort and confidence.
Aesthetic updates include restyled front and rear lights and new brushed aluminum side shrouds, enhancing the
bike's overall look.The SE model additionally includes a USB-C outlet, an adjustable Öhlins rear shock with a remote
preload adjuster, and radially mounted Brembo front calipers.
