                  3 Law Enforcement Deputies graduated the Basic Law Enforcement Training Program at the
                                                Maine Criminal Justice Academy
                         2 Corrections Officers graduated the Basic Corrections Training Program at the
                                                Maine Criminal Justice Academy
                With the current opiate epidemic that is nearly paralyzing the nation, the Cumberland County
                  Sheriff’s Office has made it a priority to ensure that agency members are well trained to best
                 address the issues our community faces. Sheriff Kevin Joyce and his Command staff have been
                working with community leaders to find permanent solutions to the opioid crisis as we all agree
                                       you cannot incarcerate your way out of this crisis.



















                                                       Leadership

              Strong leadership skills are mandatory at the Sheriff’s Office.  Our leaders received their training from
              the FBI Law Enforcement Academy.  Through the FBI LEEDA Leadership Trilogy Program, the
              Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office is proud to introduce our current Trilogy holders:
