Corrections Use of Force
Use of Force is defined as the means of compelling compliance or
overcoming resistance to an officer’s command(s) in order to protect life or
property or to take a person into custody.
In 2021 there were eighty (80) Use of Force incidents involving seventy-eight (78)
Corrections Officers that used 286 methods of force. There were sixty-seven (67)
inmates involved in the eighty (80) incidents.
