by co-founder Matt Goldman followed by a Jeffersonian Lunch at the Club; the Museum of Modern Art for their Constantin Brancusi Sculpture exhibition led by Paulina Pobocha, associate curator in the Department of Painting and Sculpture at The Museum of Modern Art; Christies for a tour of Chinese Art led by Elizabeth Hammer; the Whitney for the Andy Warhol exhibit led by Donna De Salvo, deputy director for International Initiatives and senior curator along with Eric Shiner, former director of the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh; and the Museum of Modern Art for Birth of the World, an exhibit of Joan Miró’s work led by Anne Umland, The Blanchette Hooker Rockefeller Senior Curator, who organized the exhibit. Cora Rosevear assisted with arranging both tours that took place at MoMA.
Talk tables during the year included celebrated art dealer, gallery owner and collector Joseph A. Helman in conversation with Nancy Hall- Duncan in November. In December, former cura- tor of the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art Harold Koda and Wendy Goodman held a discussion on fashion, art and culture. In February, Wilma Bulkin Siegel led a watercolor workshop to the delight of all members in attendance. And in April, the rst “About Art” featured historian Carolle Thibaut- Pomerantz on documentary wallpapers and their architectural use past and present.
