Mathematics Teaching Material Sequence and Series Grade XI

arithmetic sequence. The fixed number b is called the difference of the sequence. While

the arithmetic series is the sum of all the terms in the arithmetic sequence.

In this module, you will learn the pattern of numbers, sequences, and series identified

based on their characteristics. Arithmetic sequences and series are identified based on their
characteristics, the value of the nth element of an arithmetic sequence is determined using

the formula = + ( − 1) ,the sum of the first n terms of an arithmetic series is

                    determined using the formula = (2 + ( − 1) .

                                                      2
There are so many problems in everyday life that can be solved with the concept of
sequences and series, for example counting the number of bacterial breeding, population

growth, calculating the amount of interest and annuities in the economic field and many

other problems that can be solved with the concept of a series.

                 G. Learning Model

The learning model used in this module is a Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning
                   model.

                 H. Learning Approach

This module uses the TPACK learning approach
