►To grow healthy plants need:

Basic needs

Sun light
Carbon dioxide
water

Soil may not be included as a basic plant need.(G.R)

Because some plants don't need soil to grow such as:
•Some plants only grow in the water.
•Some plants grow on other plants. (instead of having roots in the soil)

►Plants and food:

Plant leaves Plant roots and stem

Plants make their own food (sugar) in Plants roots absorb water and nutrients
their leaves through photosynthesis from the soil, and then they pass from

•Give reasons:

-Plant's roots have great functions. (or)
-Roots have important role in photosynthesis process of plants.
Because the plant's roots absorb the nutrients and water from the soil.

-Photosynthesis process is important for plants to survive.
To make their own food in their leaves and provides the needed energy for the growth of
plants.
