Personal Bio

I grew up in Watertown, NY, a small town near the
Canadian border. I had an early interest in architec-
ture, design, and drafting which was fueled by my en-
gineer father who would bring home extra drafting
supplies. My life changed course when I discovered
topographic maps of our family’s hunting land. I then

understood I could marry my architectural interests
with my love for the game of golf. I chased that
dream by enrolling in the landscape architecture pro-
gram at Cornell University.

Erica and I met in college and moved to Maryland fol-
lowing graduation. Erica serves as the Chief of Envi-
ronmental Management for the City of Rockville. We

are blessed with two boys whom keep us more than
busy.

We live in Olney, Maryland. We play our golf at Nor-
beck CC and Argyle CC, two Clubs that I have enjoyed Joel, Erica, Evan, and Owen
collaborating with while working with McDonald.

Luckily for Dad, our boys are taking up the game. Watching them play and understanding their joys and frustrations as devel-
oping golfers has made me a better designer.
