           Glen Oaks Club                                              The Glen Oaks renovation developed a more
                                                                       appropriate scale for the property’s golf fea-

          At 280 acres, the 27-Hole property  is large.  The Club’s landforms are large as well, not necessarily steep,
          but gradually  rolling.  Enlarging the bunkers (while reducing their overall count) and widening the fairway
          turf areas allowed the layout to lie more gracefully over the generally gentle topography.

          The original plan for the par five #1 White golf hole converted six bunkers into just three more substantial
          bunkers.  Ultimately, during construction I also omitted the rear bunker in place of another grassing con-
          nection with the adjacent 2nd fairway.

          Glen Oaks has benefited from this “improvement through subtraction” mantra.
