INDIVIDUAL GROWTH V/S/ SCHOOL GROWTH
I am serving in this school for last 22 years as a Science teacher. I am indebted to this school for giving me opportunities to
interact with various types of students having different levels of aptitude towards learning and accordingly I mould my
teaching capability to bring out the best in them. Today my credentials are my students, who have achieved their
milestones in different professions, in various capacities in different fields of science. I have moved a step forward, after
synergizing for all round development of students while working closely with my team. Our school, Lala Jagat Narain
D.A.V. Model School, which has its inception 25 years back with a kindergarten school in different building. Our Schools
has the privilege to work with the students from down trodden families. Under the guidance of our worthy Principal Mrs
Anita Nanda our teachers put in hardwork to bring out the best in them by working on their strength and weaknesses. Our
school is proud to bring happiness on the faces of these children and parents. The moment of awarding the excellence of the
students along with the students of well to do families on annual function is sapped and displayed at the school Glory, for
motivating other students to come forward to be like them in the near future. Our school will keep on generating gems for
upliftment of the society of well to do and downtrodden families and in turn for our nation building.

How do you feel when your see your child growing up? especially when he becomes 25 year old. Obviously, we feel proud to see our
young child.Our memories are associated with each and every moment from childhood to youth the same feeling I am having
today. In April 1994 D.A.V.C.M.C sowed seeds and handed over that sapling to our Principal Madam Mrs. Anita Nanda. Being
the First Teacher of the school I helped Principal madam in nurturing this sapling with my hard work and dedication. With the
passage of time more hard working hands joined us and as a result, now this sapling has become a big tree.We started our
journey with one hundred students and now the number of students is in thousands. This school was started in a small
building of 6-7 rooms but now it is flourishing on six acres land. I remember those days, when after school hours, we used
to go for collecting donation. With hard earned money, the building of school is constructed. The students whom, I had
taught have become Doctors, Engineers, Businessmen, Educationists etc. I feel blessed as God has given me the
opportunity to be first teacher of this school. I am highly thankful firstly to DAVCMC, New Delhi for giving me
opportunities to polish myself by attending many workshops on different topics. As a result I got Ideal Teacher award
from Kalabharti, Certificate of honour from Life Empowerment Award for School, Gold Medals from Indian Council for
Environment Education. I was also recognised for supporting the integration of International Learning in the Curriculum
by British Council This journey of 25 years is really wonderful. With the hard work of Principal Madam and staff, the
school is torching new lights of success. School is producing good result. In Co-curriculor activities students are winning
prizes in different fields. The story does not end here . It is just starting of achieving more and more goals. I have faith in
myself. Very soon Lala Jagat Narain D.A.V. Model School will be among the best schools of Punjab. I pray to the almighty to
give us strength so that we can continue to serve the society by producing all rounder nation builders.
