EOS 90439-A-PHY-0010-Mobile cover mounting
1. This document illustrates how to mount the protection covers to the mobile part. The mobile part is
how the factory refers to the assembly unit comprised by the x-ray tube, the cooling unit and the
collimator. As the name implies, this assembly moves during scans and requires covers for
protection.
There are several parts to each mobile part which are identical between planes but not
interchangeable.
a. Bottom cover (largest piece)
b. Top cover
c. Closing plate (covers the gap on the bottom cover)
The mounting process is the same for both planes and it may require two people to complete.
Make sure the mobile parts are at a good position that allows for enough clearance on the bottom
to assemble the largest piece.
2. Frontal plane bottom cover
a. Start by position the bottom cover by sliding it from the
bottom up, this is the largest piece and you may need an
extra pair of hands.
b. Slide the cover carefully until it snaps into position with
the plungers at the four corners (see image)
c. Fix the cover into position with 4X CHC M6X20 bolts
using a 5mm key
