Whenever her friends or siblings had a birthday party, M would
hum along as everyone sang Happy Birthday. But then she would
do something extra. She would hum a new tune that was special
for the birthday girl or boy.
Hymnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
Everyone would gather in close to M to be part of her special
circle. It was at one of these birthday parties that someone began
to chant: “M’s a humdinger. M’s a humdinger.” Everyone joined
in and so it became part of every celebration that M honoured with
a humming tribute.
