Page 13 - BPW-UK ANNUAL REVIEW 2023-2024
P. 13
In this my second full year as President of BPW UK I have been
able to meet more of the BPW UK members that I had not had a
chance to meet previously. In-person events, alongside our regular
virtual Wednesday webinar series, within our National Federation
have been taking place, and I have been to as many as I can. It has
been great to hear about the work you all do, but we must learn to
blow our own trumpets a little more please!
As you will see within this year’s BPW UK Annual Review we
have a new BPW Twinning, two IFBPW recognised projects and rela-
tionships building with other NGOs around the UK. These are essential building blocks as we
need to be able to demonstrate we have a place in this world of advocacy and outreach.
We have been looking at how we can raise our membership figures, and with the innova-
tion of joining, renewing and paying online for the first time via our great new website we real-
ly are proving to be fit for the future.
But we must get the name of this great organisation out further than before in order to
increase our membership numbers. Many groups around my home area are having the same dif-
ficulties, but we believe that with the changes we have made we are ready for an influx of new
members. Who will you introduce to BPW this year?
My very best wishes for a prosperous new BPW UK year!
