On 28 April 2024 I had the privilege of attending the birth of a new BPW
Club in Grand Bahamas, via zoom. Dr Anastacia Lewis is the founding President of
this club, and they had a wonderfully full room to celebrate this auspicious occasion.
The North America and Caribbean Area Co-Ordinator Dawne Wil-
liams spoke about the importance of BPW in everyday life, and
how it continues to advocate for women today just as strongly as
it did when it was founded by Dr Lena Madesin-Phillips.

The Club executive was in-
stalled, and they held the first
BPW Candle-lighting ceremo-
ny together. I was able to
pass on our best wishes to
these new BPW colleagues
when the microphone was
passed onto the zoom guests.
