Bloomers to the Boardroom and Beyond

As a Program and Projects chair it is my responsibility and
challenge to arrange a program or create a project. So it is nec-
essary to do research and then choose a subject which corre-
sponds to the focus issues that our CFBPW’ s Members support.

Should the presenter be a supporter of the chosen topic or
a speaker that will be informative on the subject. So you search and decide if the
speaker be interesting and be able to make the audience feel this something they
would be interested in and support!
For the upcoming conference it was easy to find a subject that would be appropri-
ate, because the Zoom conference was being held during National Business Women’s
Week!

So my job was to find a woman that has achieved professionally in her profes-
sion.

It also reminded this chair person that in our own BPW federation should be rec-
ognized for their occupations and service so we are looking back to 2010 to video
called “Bloomers to the Boardroom and Beyond” which has three Waves on “Feminism”
and which ties onto many issues focusing on women’s accomplishments.

On the Third Wave we featured up and coming young women climbing the lat-
ter to reach their goals and now in 2023 what they are doing now! So we meet Su-
pervisor Lindsey Horvath.

And remember the BPW members who created this program. You can view it on
our CFBPW’s
Members only page, but do attend the conference and you will see what is going
on now! Join us it is timely!
