                                       which is,

The Adaptation to Climate Change Mission, which supports at

lic retreat in Finland’s Nordic Arctic region. It was originally a
farm, which her ancestor, Antti Tukiainen developed in the
1680s. He built a life where they lived in harmony with nature
and shared respect for it. Successive generations looked outwards and developed

It is Taina’s experience and legacy of the retreat which enables her to campaign and
research how natural solutions can still be maintained sustainably.

Siiri spoke about the success in getting the BPW Europe Green and Sustainable Resolu-
tion carried at the European President’s meeting in Rome, earlier this year. From now on,
events such as, conferences will be organised using as many ‘green’ swaps as possible,
be it the hotel, conference centre, catering or other services. All members can maintain
their awareness of innovative sustainable steps around them.

Her vision is to build the network of BPW Europe green ambassadors to support women
as decision makers on their journeys, whether as professionals in companies and organi-

sations, business owners, or just setting up.
Women as decision makers can make sustainable changes through their families, com-

munity champions, their workplaces, communities and countries. They can share
knowledge through training, podcasts, events, workshops and lifestyle.

Our guest speakers are already leading the way and ‘shining a light in dark places’.
