                          

                   California Winter Board and Public Policy Conference was Friday, February 23rd-
         Saturday, February 24th at the Courtyard by Marriott, 2100 Empire Ave., Burbank and via
         Zoom. Winter Board was the morning of February 23rd. There were 19 in-person attendees

         and five on Zoom for the Board meeting. The packet for the meeting had most of the reports,
         but Membership Chair Bessie Hironimus reported that CFBPW had 21 new members including
         two new student members since June 2023.
                                                  There was one First Timer – Ann Potenza Smith, who is
                                        producing a play on the Women’s Suffrage Movement entitled “The
                                        War of the Roses” at the El Portal Theater in Hollywood. There are
                                        nineteen actresses in the play
                                        portraying suffragists.
