JUNE O’DELL AWARD 2023

The June O’Dell Award was set up for women who have been members of BPW UK
for two years or more to give them financial assistance to re-train or to update their skills,
to improve their employment potential or enhance their career prospects.

Members are invited to submit an application for the June O’Dell Award, for a grant
of up to £500.

Applicants must have been a member of BPW for at least two years prior to the
date of application and continue to be so in 2023. Applications should be submitted by
31st December 2022 on the official application form, which is available from BPW UK,
74 Fairfield Rise, Billericay, Essex CM12 9NU or from the website.
The successful applicant will be notified by 15 January 2023.

Specific Requirements:

The applicant will undertake to:

• Present a written report 3 months and 6 months after the date of notification of the
granting of the Award and immediately after completion of the course.

• Attend the BPW Annual General Meeting in March 2023, if at all possible, to outline her
course and how it is helping her career prospects (Please note that expenses will not
be paid for this conference).

Adjudication and Interviews

All applicants for the Award will be considered by a panel of adjudicators chaired by
the National President. A short list of candidates may be called for interview. Travelling
expenses for those called will be paid by BPW.
