Membership Goals for 2022-23
In order to meet our 2024 goal of “double or more in ’24”, we will be starting THIS year. This
year everybody was asked to ask a person to attend one of their club programs then ask them
to join BPW. Remember, everybody who is currently a member of CFBPW is a member of the
Membership Committee. We must, we have to increase our membership in order to keep this
great organization alive and strong.
Board Meetings
This chair attended all board meetings and at each presented a short membership spiel.
At the June Training this chair presented a Membership Recruitment and Retention program.
California Woman Articles
In each issue of the CW this chair presented an article to help members gain more members.
Fall “Elevator Speech”, Winter “What do you say when they say”, Spring “How to Keep Mem-
bers Coming Back”.
This chair also sent welcome letters to each new member.
She sent letters to each person who down loaded the CA Woman during the past 2 years and
an invitation to attend our annual meeting along with the Spring issue of the CW.
New Members
Congratulations to the 16 new members that joined CFBPW since May 2022. And congratula-
tions to the Clubs for your excellent efforts. Again, this chair would like to personally welcome
our new members to the CA Fed of Business and Professional Woman. Berkeley and “Conejo
Valley each gained one new member, San Gabriel Valley Club 3, Burbank 3, East Los Angeles–
Montebello 3 and Downtown Sacramento with 4 new members and a Member at Large in CA.
Keep up the great work!
Year End 2023
Even with 16 new members we did not make our goal. We had minus five members end year.
However, good news. East LA-Montebello and San Gabriel Valley each had plus one member!
And two districts equalized (Bay Capital and Sierra Mar) and five clubs equalized (Berkeley,
Burbank, Downtown Sacramento, East Valley, and Hollywood).
It was disappointing that not one Club or district asked for a grant application for recruiting
new members.
It was a pleasure to serve President Bessie and the Federation as Membership Chair
this year.
This chair does believe that the Federation was Taking Action! in membership re-
cruitment.
