Summer is over and that is the signal for Fall Conference. Fall District Con-
ference will be held via ZOOM on Saturday, September 24, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. un-
til 1:00 p.m. Northern District members are invited to participate in this confer-
         ence.

We will hear presentations from our members who attended the NFBPW Con-
ference in Sacramento. Club Presidents are asked to present a brief report on the
activities of their clubs since our Annual Conference. There will be breakout ses-
sions (zoom rooms) for one-hour sessions on the following topics: “Growing mem-
bership-what can we do”, “Programs – Club and District”, “Advocacy – getting more
members involved”. Members will indicate which breakout they want to attend on
the registration form. This officer hopes that having the breakout session activity
will encourage more members to attend and contribute to the success of the dis-
         trict and our clubs.

The Bylaws Task Force has had the opportunity to review Northern District
Bylaws and Bay Capital Bylaws and will be meeting to draft their recommendation
for the new district bylaws. The intention is to have the bylaws ready for presen-
tation to members before Winter Board meetings.

There are still some open chair positions in the District and this officer would
appreciate members stepping up to be involved.

Hope everyone had a great summer and we look forward to seeing you at
         District Conference and State Board.●

         Best Personal Wishes,

         Barbara J. Davis
